Director: Ed Gass-Donnelly

Producers: Ed Gass-Donnelly, Deborah Ann Woll

Season 1 is 8 x 30 min episodes.

The narrative conceit of this  live-action game-play centers on four strangers who are drawn to the fictitious village of Woodcreek, a strange, abandoned town set against the eerie fog-drenched backdrop of the 19th century. The story begins with the four protagonists discovering they each bear a mysterious identical tattoo on their palms, a mark that none of them remember getting. The protagonists soon realise they are direct descendants of the town’s founding families and that their return was not a coincidence but rather a summons.

Deborah Ann Woll (Daredevil, True Blood) guides a stellar cast through eerie mysteries and unexpected moments in this one-of-a-kind,  unscripted D&D actual-play journey.

This show is designed so that the storytelling narrative-driven game is accessible and engaging to people who have never played Dungeons and Dragons. Example: Iman Vellani (Ms. Marvel) had never played the game before her appearance on the show.

The episodes were all  filmed at Black Creek Pioneer Village in Toronto Ontario, Canada. Each episode takes place in a different historical building (School house, General Store, Free-masons Hall, Old Manor etc.) with retrofits and dressing enhancements added throughout, in addition to a wide range of  custom made graphics and props. The budget was very low, and an interesting fact is that even the Director’s talented 10 year old daughter helped make many of the special miniature tombstones props.
